On foldable iPhones, folding the hinge to roughly 80 to 105 degrees automatically offers Periscope L-Fold mode, unfolding flat (155 to 180 degrees) opens the Dual-Leaf Bevel Protractor and Miter Solver, and closing the hinge activates the 5.4 inch Cover angle readout. You can also switch tabs manually at any time.

How do I measure angles on a standard single-screen iPhone?

Drag your finger directly around the Vernier protractor dial to set or transfer any target angle from 0.0 to 180.0 degrees, while the built-in CoreMotion accelerometer displays live 2-axis pitch and roll to 0.1 degree precision.

How do I zero against a sloped workbench or roof rafter?

Place the iPhone edge on your reference surface and tap Zero Ref in the Bevel tab. All angle and spirit-level readings will measure relative to that surface until you tap Clear Zero.
